| Long Description | Snow/ice covered lakes in the MOD10A2 product are erroneously mapped as land. This problem exists in the V004 and V005 code and is caused by a variable name error in the code. Fixing this resulted in proper mapping of snow/ice covered lakes and inland water bodies, and thus improved ability to track lake ice breakup timing and conditions.
