| Long Description | In the L2 Surface Reflectance product (MOD09) produced using the ealier version of the PGE, reflectance retrieved over water area (oceans, inland water, shorelines) for some of the bands, contained patches of pixels with reflectance values artificially set to maximum or minimum allwoable limit. This is because the wrong aerosol retrieval model was used over water, resulting in bad retrieved aerosol values over water. The problem is fixed in this version of the PGE by including a change of the model used for aerosol retrieval over water; bounds checking placed upon angstrom exponent values and retrieved aerosol values in the aerosol retrieval algorithm over water. |
